One Learning:
We have been given a new language of understanding and context for racism, the harms caused by the church, reconciliation, BIPOC, generational trauma, interconnectedness.
One Question:
How can we become a church that honours, encourages and empowers the lay leadership that is fundamental to small town churches across this country?
One Hope:
That the church will do its own healing work, acknowledging the truths of the harms it has caused SO THAT it can be a place to offer healing in the future. There are many up against a wall that we can serve. I hope that we will be an expression of love in the world, which will become of interest to others smothered by cynicism, intolerance and anger.
